Donald J. Nolan, Creator - Book Writer, Composer, and Lyricist

Donald J. Nolan is the creator, book writer, composer, and lyricist of BRAN CASTLE THE MUSICAL, a gothic, historically grounded work that blends romance, revolution, and supernatural myth. BRAN CASTLE has been developed through workshops and invitation-only industry presentations in Chicago and New York, and continues its forward momentum with a new reading produced in collaboration with Mary Maggio, LDK Productions, and Que Sera Sera Productions.

In addition, he invests in numerous Broadway and West End productions and is currently developing new works with an eye toward both Broadway and film. Beyond his creative pursuits, Donald has had an extensive career as a trial lawyer, serving as lead counsel in international litigation and securing numerous multi-million-dollar verdicts—where courtrooms, in their own way, are stages unto themselves.

With BRAN CASTLE, he unites epic narrative scale with intimate human stakes, positioning the musical for a commercial production.
